Hey everyone. So I am an mtf who beleives she may be lesbian in fact. I'm still not sure. But to others bi' or lesbian ladies out there how hard is dating and meeting new people? I have looked in my area.... Got nothing. Moving to a bigger city soon and may have a better chance. Still any stories will be great ! Thanks

I've found dating a headache. I'm 53 and most lesbians my age don't seem ready to accept a trans girlfriend. I've gone out on a few dates but so far it hasn't gone that far.

the city really helps. im with another trans woman, so I cant speak for cis gendered counterparts.  but id say even when it comes to men or women, its not easy finding someone who is going to be able to look past the private parts till their correct, its a pain in the rear :/

I'm not sure how good my advice will be, since I'm never dated a woman, but if she's trans too than she probably won't mind that you are. As for cis woman, I'm look for someone who's bi.

Personally, if I end up dating a woman any time soon she'll most likely be trans too, and even than it might depend on if she's had reassignment surgery or not. Right now I don't think I'd be comfortable dating someone with a vagina, Not that I'm only in it for sex, but if it goes well it probably will lead to that, and the way that usually works when one person has a penis and the other has a vagina isn't something I'd be okay with(unless I'm the one with the vagina). But if she's a trans woman than she'd probably be willing to work something else out. But I think I'll stick with pre/non op trans women and cis men(I'm bisexual) for now.

Sorry my reply is longer than I meant for it to be. But I'd go with either a trans woman and a bi cis woman.

this is part of what is playing into my issues for HRT. I am (speaking as my girl mode) a lesbian and/or bi - lite when it comes to non-op trans. I live in a medium sized city (albeit with a more conservative tone) and have a job that I love which might be at risk if I come out. So being here, finding a woman or trans who accepts me would be very difficult. My dream, at this point, may be to hold out and see if a loving and supportive relationship with a woman or MTF can develop someday. Of course, I struggle with this, since I think the odds may be close either way. I am working with a therapist towards the decision.
But the decision for HRT, would likely have me relocating. But I've seen the stats on Trans who quit their jobs..it's pretty bleak. So I am also looking at self-employment ideas.

If you decide to relocate, make sure you look into local laws. Even if a state is very conservative, chances are there is at least one city that give protection. You could also look for a trans friendly company and see i they're hiring.

I met my GF at a tech school taking classes. It may be getting serious as we have been checking out girl/girl cake toppers and dresses!
