So a wonderful thing happened this afterNoon. I was walking to find a place to use the restroom and came across some people dressed up for the bay to breaker fun run in the bay area. Also a comic cosplay occurred at same time it seems. Anyways this gal was dressed up in a superhero outfit.
I felt compelled to talk to her even though I needed to tinkle a bit badly. I went back up the hill and said "how many people have confused you for Wonder Woman, when clearly you are a female Captain America?

She said "more than I can remember"

Then she saluted me and said "Thank you for seeing me for who I truly am"!

As I walked off it really resonated with me. This is exactly what I want from other people.
Family, friends and perfect strangers.

She seemed delighted that not only did I know but I took the time to make the clarity comment. My day has been made. Just from that alone.

I once saw a woman doing an awesome Power Girl cosplay. I told her I thought it was great and then asked how many people had realised who she was meant to be... I was the first apparently but I could tell she was chuffed by my recognition.

I'm very pleased to have learned a new word now. CHUFFED :-D
