Today was the D-day.

I'm getting into hormones and I am already extremely happy, I think I feel FREE!!!

I'm a bit nervous too, this is because I'm not a little boy/girl anymore (I'm in 40s), I hope everything goes well anyway.

Well, girls I will get back soon with updates.

Congrats, youngster.

I started HRT at age 61 and have had no problems.  I have liver enzymes checked once a year and reduced my dosage after SRS.  I just try to keep the hot flashes away, now, at age 70+.

Follow you're doctor's advice and don't try to take too high a dose.  Boosting the intake way high doesn't make breast tissue grow more or faster, but it can lead to other medical problems.

Relax and enjoy.

Congrat's evelynaGR!!! I'm in early transition now, seeing a great TG therapist and looking into electrolysis. I'm 38 y/o, and I don't think I'll get to HRT 'till I'm 40 or at least I hope so. I hope to hear more from you in future posts. Congrat's again!!!

When I was 51 I saw a gender therapist.  91 days later I was on oral estrogen.

Here it is five years later and I am very happy with where I am now.

As Robyn said, relax and enjoy your transition.

Take notes, keep a diary if you wish.  Don't try to hurry anything.

Congratulations!  One thing my therapist told me to do was to keep a journal of everything that I did so I could keep some milestones to look back at.  Unfortunately I had to come off of hormones after only a month due to switching jobs and insurance packages but I'll soon be back on the path with you!  Way to go!

Evelyna,

Congrats from another 40+ girl.  No it's not too late.  Please keep us apprised on how it goes.  I'm still waiting.  I get blood work done tomorrow, so when the results get back we'll see.

Hope it goes well!
