ok so it seems so far in my transition my breast growth has been one of the things ive been most disappointed with and worried and unhappy over. Basically im still very worried over the size(they look like a small a and on someone whos 5'7 and mtf its far from proportional I feel) but lately ive been way more concerned about the shape... So ive been on hrt for about 13 months but the first few months were very low dose and had no physical changes, I have had 90 percent of breast growth in like the last six months probably cause my dose is much higher now. Ive been really concerned about the shape for the past few months and actually had my doctor add micronized progesterone about three and a half months ago after reading it can possibly help with shape and fullness and prevent "tubular" breasts which is what im moost worried about getting... So basically aside from the fact that im still very worried about size(I look nothing like even a small b and look smaller than the majority of a cups) im super worried that my breasts are becoming tubular! While the vast majority of cis women have the bottom portion of there breasts very full and rounded and have a prominent shadow or crease under there breasts, mine have only a slight shadow in certain lighting and still are not very full on the bottom portion compared to ninety nine percent of cis girls with a cups ive seen. Also one thing I hate if my areolas are becoming very puffy and don't blend in with the contour of my breast at all but only when warm...I wonder if perhaps im a tanner 4 now and this is how there supposed to look and perhaps eventually I will reach tanner 5... anyways ive seen a lot of pictures of tubular breasts and I don't think mine are nearly as bad as most of those but ive also seen cis womens breasts even of very similar sizes and mine aren't as full with the normal areolas. I showed my endo and she thought they weren't tubular but I don't know if she saw them warm which is when they look really weird.. Im really depressed about this lately and very worried...I hear so many say how happy they are with there breasts and talk about there b cups or even c's or d's that they got from just hrt...so im really looking for hope as well as information on how your breasts turned out and if this is just a phase or not. If you say your a b cup do they actually look like most cis womens b cups? I know breast shape varies a lot but certain things are way more common than others..so please if theres any, give me some hope with your experience or general information or something

If you remember from high school, some girls sprouted over the summer, while others took years.  Let's see, 13 months total-some of that on low dose.  Let it go for two or three years before you get worried! It can take even more than that.

As a girl who loves the female body, I can tell you areolas come in all shapes and sizes. I've seen them almost as large as the breasts and I've seen them just barely there not unlike men's. Personally I prefer the later, but that doesn't make the former any less valid. I've also seen them on white women as dark as the skin on black women and also with little to no change in color more like men. There isn't a lot you can do about that.

As for shape of the breasts themselves. I've heard some people say that wearing a bra will help them round out as they grow. So I'm wearing a sports bra since nothing else fits right. Its incredibly hard to find a bra big enough for my chest with A cups.

Hun that's just what growing breast look like. At least that's what what I remember from my dating life when I was in my freshman/sophomore year in high school. Also I don't think breast size and height have any kind of correlation. I think chests width and weight usually correlate more with breast size then height.

I'm not gonna lie puffy nipples are kinda cute too. So don't get to stressed.

At 13 months my breasts had very little shape so I totally get where you're coming from but it does get better.

It took me about 2 and a half years to 3 to get to a 32b. I'm a small B, full A cup and I come from a family with small busts so I'm pretty happy with what I have. As far as their shape goes, they look really full and round but it took forever for that to happen. Yeah mine do look like other cis women with my size since I have a small rib cage. I'm still in tanner stage 4 though and I've been having growing pains lately so they're not done growing. My endo says I should reach full maturity.

You're still only 13 months in so you gotta give it time, I know its super difficult but you'll get there. Do make sure your diet consists of lots of protein. Your breasts won't become fuller if the fat isn't there.

I think you are still developing... some girls get puffy Areolas early in their development and subside within a couple years as the breasts fill in although some keep the shape as they get older it is not the norm.
I'll struggle hard today to live the life I want tomorrow !

Step One - Lose the weight!

When it comes to breasts it's a real lottery. Like genetic women we don't get a lot of say in the natural size or shape of our breasts/areolas/nipples. The puffy look is apparently most common in adolescent females and usually goes away once maturation has been achieved but that may take a few years. At 13 months on HRT you're essentially at the same level of development as a genetic girl aged about 11-13 and most of them would also be worried about size and shape too.

That's normal. 13 months is the equivalent of a cis girl who's maybe 12-13 years old; they start off very perky and "traffic cone" shaped and slowly round out and fill out over time. The distinct and puffy areolae is actually a Tanner stage - 3, I think? - and a sign of progress.

My wife just recently reassured a mutual friend of ours that at about the same point in her development (around middle school) the vast majority of the girls she knew were convinced they had deformed and freakish boobs. :) Worrying about them may ALSO be a stage of development, honestly! But more seriously, give it time. The fat redistribution, which is where most of the softening and rounding (and up to 2/3 the size) comes from, is *slow.*

I like my puffy nipples. :) They're clearly feminine and definitely different than they used to be! Anyway I'd say just relax and worry about it later on down the road. Breast development takes a while. I thought I was done months ago because nothing was happening and now I'm suddenly going through another growth spurt. Patience darlin'. :)

My breasts are b cups which is good for almost 6 months on hormones but they look like a teenage girl's.  My nipples and areoles haven't grown all that much so I may look to get P when I restart HRT post surgery.

I would say it boils down primarily to genetics. Some are lucky some are not. Thankfully BA is not too expensive so if down the road you aren't satisfied you can get the boobs of your dreams from a surgeon.

Mine took me ~ 4 years all up to get to a B cup, since then just rounding, unfortunately my Areoles and Nipples have only managed an insignificant growth.

I could be wrong but generally (they reckon) you may make 1 or 2 sizes under your mothers depending on genes, however some girls find they end up larger. Its really down to your body and genetics etc..

I wouldn't worry at all... just keep a diary just to prove to yourself that things are on the change.

Mine were a pointy D for the longest time. Literally over night they pulled in and rounded to a nice, firm, round C. Wouldn't be surprised if that cycle repeats a time or two.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

you mentioned upping your e dose.  just watch your blood tests and keep it low.  i started mine high for medical reasons for mental clarity:)  tried to rid of adderall, but didnt work!   i lowered the dose, and ouch!  they are sensitive and growing..  i always heard from others that lower doses causes growth as long as your t is low..  there is a thing about hgh, but maybe someday..  (no doses were harmed in this message:)

as for shape, i asked an old girlfriend not long ago since my wife wouldnt comment.  my friend said "thats why young girls get training bras!"  i was suggested to even sleep in a good wired one.  i found a 38b at sears that i yet to find its equal!  the front clasps are soo much easier to wear..  but dont get padding if your "training"..  this is what i was told, and seems to be working.  my 38b's are making my wife jealous with her 36b's.  i keep this up, i may have to get her a boob job just so she doesnt get jealous..  we been married over 20 years, i hope that wont be the issue?  i think i have a ton of other reasons for her to dump me, but so far as long as she can understand this gender issue is different from sex, we will be fine:)  her only issue we had when she found out, was for months she was positive i was going to leave her for a guy!  after 20 years, even going though this, i can only say if i would end up liking guys, i still will never leave her:)  anyways, her testosterone level is higher than mine and my e was higher than hers on the last hormone tests, so maybe she was right, just didnt realize she was my guy;)  night all!

Mine have the same 'puffy when warm' look right now after 18 months of E.  Size is about 34B.  When they firm-up they look awesome but I certainly hope they will mature beyond the current phase so the look is more consistent.  I don't need more size to be happy though.  What I'd really like is for the bottom curve of the breast to be a little lower on my chest so that they are sitting closer to where the bra band is designed to rest.  Padded cups are making up the difference for now.

Growing pains never fully went away the entire time I've been on HRT.  Just recently I had to suspend meds for FFS and the pain virtually disappeared.  Now that I've resumed HRT and my normal levels are restoring I'll probably get the growing pains again.  It will be very interesting to see what happens as a result of this 'pause'.

Anna, no need to worry. CIS women take years to develop their breast.
If you want them to get bigger now, eat a burger - lots  :P
