Thanks guys! She is the youngest of the bunch so I figured she would be accepting; she also has a lot of friends in the community so it was a fairly safe bet. Still, it feels good knowing that my own blood accepts me so readily and it gives me hope for the conversations to come. I even sent my sister some pictures of me in the various cute outfits I wear and she told me that she didn't think I would have any trouble at all with passing. Talk about a huge confidence boost. Can't wait for my avatar so I can show all you the real me!!
She did make me cry a little though; she told me that she thought I looked just like my mom and she then went on to tell me that she thinks that mom would be very proud of me for facing myself and accepting me for who I really am. *tears*
One sister down, two to go! Plus one father..... Jury is out on how he will take the news; hopefully he takes it well, but I don't really care either way. To quote one the best movies ever: "Our parents, they want the bestest stuff for us. But right now they gotta do what's right for them, 'cause it's their time. Their time, up there. Down here it's our time."
Namaste.
