I'm having different feelings coming up about starting T so I decided to hold off & work with a therapist. I don't doubt my male identity one bit, but I'm hesitant to start T now.

I have top dysphoria to a higher degree so I'm having surgery soon. However, I will have a flat, male chest but look clearly female as I don't pass at all. I may decide to start T months or a year from now so there will be adjusting.

Has anyone else had top surgery & held off on T? How has it changed your life?

I have and it has made getting up and getting ready to go somewhere so much easier. No fighting with a binder. You can do anything male really with just top surgery. Swimming, shirtless anywhere, etc. I still get called female sometimes but I go to work in just a T-shirt with a clearly flat chest and no one says anything. I'm not sure if they just don't notice or just don't want to ask why I don't have boobs.

I wasn't sure I wanted to start T but I was sure of top surgery so that is what I had done. No regrets.

Yeah lots of people have had top surgery before starting T. I haven't, but it's not an uncommon thing. As long as you've got a good surgeon, post-surgery chests look great regardless of whether you're on T or not.

Thanks for the input bros. I was asking more about living with no boobs & still presenting as female. Curious if others are in this situation & how if has affected your life.

Thats how I did it.  I don't think I'd have wanted to do it the other way around.  The boobs bothered me most.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
