Do you believe that sites such as this should provide quarterly financial statements detailing how member donations are utilized?

I think for this site, it's privately run. It's really up to whether Susan is comfortable with it. Whichever way makes it easier for her.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Suzi this is not meant to be confrontational or problem causing at all. I am curious because of comments from some other sites on their personal policies. That's all. I am just trying to get a bigger sample of opinions on this subject.

I'm one of the biggest contributors here, and I ain't worried about it. We know that running the site is Susan's full-time job. That's where the money goes.  :)

As said, I am not attacking anyone just getting an opinion for another converstion I am having NOT involving this site. Stop being touchy. No one here is slandering anyone here. As a member I can make polls to discover how people are thinking net wide, correct? Being a support site this is a great place for that information. :)

Hmmmm, sorry someone was touchy with you. It looks like the staff pulled whatever it was.

Typically, organizations which run on donations are incorporated as non-profits, and they provide annual reports on where the money goes. I think this is a sound principle for any organization which collects donations. Quarterly statements might be too much of a burden for a small outfit, but a yearly statement could easily be generated from information put together for tax purposes.

My statements from my Ebay, Amazon, purchases should be provided quarterly to the members here so they can tell me to stop overspending, lol

I'm indifferent about it. I can't afford to donate, therefore I really don't have a right to ask for that sort of thing.

I question why someone who has never donated to the site or subscribed has any right to ask for this kind of information to begin with.

That being said, I ask for $2,000 a month. This covers the site expenses and my basic expenses. For 3 months we have increased it by $500 per month to recover costs and expenses which were outlays for multiple software purchases used in the site redesign. When I start asking members to donate $10,000 a month then those who contribute have grounds to ask for accountability, until then they don't.

This has been covered repeatedly, and I am gonna ban anyone who brings it up in the future. If you think the site is being ran well donate or subscribe, if not don't. It's not a requirement. Those of you who do have my eternal gratitude.

PS: Just in case it's not clear from this response, I don't buy the oh it's for a discussion about another site bit.
