Well, I went mall shopping today, but I was in boy mode as usual.  When I walked passed the Forever 21 store, I came across a really cute outfit displayed in the store window that I absolutely just had to have.  It was a tight fitting black knit top with embroidered heart cutouts at the bust line, a sweetheart neck line and short sleeves that go down just below the shoulders along with a white linen mini skirt.  The top was one size fits all and I got a size large in the mini skirt.  Went to checkout and there was a long line of girls waiting to be served.  I got in line and it must have taken at least 30 minutes to get to the checkout counter.  I was the only guy in line!  I figured if anyone asked what I was doing I would tell them I was buying this outfit for my niece for spring break.  Anyway, I got home and tried it all on and it fit my body perfectly!  Never thought I could look so hot.  Can't wait until warmer weather arrives so I can wear it again.  I have women's white flip flops already to complete the outfit.  I seem to find myself buying a lot of young womens clothes lately.  I still need to exercise more to lose the little gut I still have in my mid section.  Anyone else have similar experiences when shopping at the mall?

When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take the step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly. — Patrick Overton

I like doing my shopping while dressed as a woman.  It cutsdown on the the nervousness for me.

It's quite funny, people are nervous about leaving the house dressed female and they are nervous about shopping dressed male, but put the two together and they feel much more comfortable.

I have gone shopping in guy mode many times, but never in feminine attire.  Last week my wife took me shopping for a new outfit.  We selected a violet print skirt and an orchid top.  Since I was in guy mode I didn't get to try it on until we got home, but it fit well and looks just wonderful.  While shopping I got to thinking about how male and female color vocabularies are so different.  Of course men's clothing comes in only about three colors.  My color vocabulary is limited to the basic crayola colors.  If you ask me to pick out bayberry, teal, jasmine, or cerise I'm lost.

Three colors is just about right for me: black, white, and red.  I'm (not totally where everything is grayscale) colorblind.  This makes things "eccentric," even for normal guy clothes.

Even hormones won't change the rods and cones in the eyes.  Doh!

It reminds me of the movie Monsters Inc., where Sully looks at something and goes . . . "Hmm, so that's puce."

I have gone mall shopping while enfemme before, but it was during Halloween.  I figure if people "read me" it would not be such a big deal around this time of the year.  I think many actually thought I was a GG.  I did take my time and spent a couple hours getting all dolled up so I could pass as female before I went shopping.  I used my female voice and the sales clerks all acted like I was convincing.  I am still working on getting the female mannerisms down pat.  I still have much to learn.  I would like to be able to go out dressed all the time and pass as being female.  Maybe someday...

That outfit I bought that day at Forever 21 still looks really good on me, now thats its summertime.  Never thought I could be so young all over again.  Lol!  Chynna, I would have been more than happy to pick out an outfit for you.   ;D

I can wear just about anything in any color.  The main color I try to stay away from is dark brown.  I don't think I look very good wearing dark brown, since I'm a redhead when dressed.  I do wear black, blue, teal, burgandy, white, green, red, orange, yellow, pink, lilac, purple and peach colors pretty well.

I shop in person frequently.  Sometimes in guy mode, sometimes en femme.  They are very different experiences - I have more fun en femme, but I make better purchases in drab... Probably because I take more time as a guy and am not dealing with any pink fog issues.  In any case I find both fun and have not had problems either way.  Not projecting nervousness is 100% of the game...

Glad you had such a great experience!

I like to shop on-line, quite a bit on EBay, but there are many other good websites. I am nervous when going into a store as a guy, I usually do a slow walk by to look at what I like, then zoom in to check for the size and style that fits. I try to get a basket if possible, trying not to attract any attention. I get a thrill out of buying a bra and panties for myself, and can hardly wait to try them on when I have a chance.

I went out shopping for the first time the other day at a thrift store.   I went as a boy, because I am to tall to be passable ( I wish I could take a foot off of my height).   At first I was really nervous about it, but after a few minutes I was able to relax and just look for what I thought was cute.  I found a green multi tiered prom dress from the 1980s ( I love thrift stores, because you can find a lot of pretty retro fashions).  I also found a very hot floral cami top and retro 80s denim mini skirt.  When I went to the counter the clerk was very polite, and she commented on how pretty my new dress was.  I do not know why I was so nervous.   When I got home the dress was a little tight, but wearable if I didn't zip it up all the way.   Over all It was a very rewarding experience and am looking forward to going shopping in the very near future.
