So as some of you know, I'm 35 but I'm finally going through my first puberty.  Which got me thinking.

Now I know everyone is different, but what I was wondering is.......

Is there a difference in timelines when comparing the two?  So like, if your going through your first puberty on HRT, it should take, about seven years I've read somewhere.  But if your going through a second puberty, would it take less, since you're body is already matured? 

I am sorry but you can't be going through your first puberty at 35, that is physically impossible. Intersex children and teenagers DO go through puberty, it is just different because their internal organs and/or hormones do not match up. They don't stay a child forever.  It makes me question your understanding of intersexuality. What were you diagnosed with?

I'd say the 2nd puberty takes even longer because the first few years of hrt your body is adjusting to its new dominant hormone. That's not even factoring all the changes that can be done to your hrt regimen in that time, trying to find what works best for you.

I was diagnosed with Partial Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. My DNA test came back with a mutation that was not found in their database.  There is only one other mutation like mine, except it resulted in a deletion, mine was a replacement. 

I've found quite a few pictures of very young teenage girls, who look very close to how I look, and like I said, I'm 35.  And if I did go through some puberty, it doesn't feel like it.  Plus my bones have been changing since going on ERT.  My skull flattened out late last year, as well as my shin bones.  And my hips are widening, and it's not fat.  And that shouldn't be happening for a person of my age, but it is.

And, I also have two unrelated gene mutations.  So there could be other problems too.

My first puberty was emotionally devastating as I saw and felt my body being dragged farther and farther away from where I knew I should be.  There was nothing good about that time in my life.

My second is still underway.  The first several months were being yanked backward through the mental, emotional and to a smaller degree the physical changes puberty caused.  Now I am moving in the proper direction  much more quickly that I thought I would, but the journey there is not finished.

The second puberty takes some getting used to, but I am enjoying so much more.

Thank you!  That's what I was wondering about.

I did not enter fully puberty until I was 20 years old and it took 4 years. So I am wondering the same for my next one

I think i started puberty around 12yrs old and i finished just this year at 21yrs old (that's when the acne started really going down). Everyone's body is different and how receptive you are to cross hormone treatment really depends on your genes and age. I'm wondering how long it will take for my 2nd too
