Greetings all,

After a few weeks of therapy I started to keep a journal. I just forgot too many things between sessions. Then I started to delve into my childhood. I remembered little of it till I started exploring further back. I found that in the middle of the night, when not sleeping well, I could pour thoughts and emotions into this journal more than I ever have.

Long story short. I have found that between posting and journaling I am interested in doing a blog. I was curious what the general positive and negative thoughts on doing that would be. Probably keeping up with it when my work gets busy would be a major challenge.

I am researching how to do one and stay anonymous to most searches on line. Here are a few questions:

-should I secure a domain name?
-what is the best way to create a blog anonymously from your opinion(I mean I could just use tumblr)?
-how vulnerable would I be to being discovered?
-is it worth it?

Maybe I should just document all this in my journal secretly and be content.

Thanks for your thoughts and input.

With gratitude,

Joanna

Personal opinion - BLOG

I just use blogger.com.  I didn't attach my name (or more accurately, used a pseudonym) until I was out.

Writing is very therapeutic and was one of the reasons I escaped being held for my protection at a couple points.  My brother (who has always treated me like ->-bleeped-<-) not uses the fact that I'm transgender and I did  not portray him as the knight in shining armor saving the day as a reason to be mad at me and not speak to me.

So ... some will be interested in what you write ... some will not like what you write and it really doesn't matter because you write it for you.

Tiffie,

Thanks for your response. I am still on the fence but keep trying to plug away in my journal. Although truth be told, much of what I put there today was just copies of what I posted on this site a few times.

With appreciation,

Joanna

I think it could be a positive outlet for you, and I don't see any reason why you couldn't maintain complete anonymity, as long as you don't post pictures of yourself.
