Hey everybody my names Brandi im new here. I joined Susans place because i am in the midst or transitioning and i dont have anyone to talk to about it  . Im not really experienced at using social media or stuff like this so im trying my best lol. Well a little about me, I am 22 years old and have only started my transition about a year ago. My entire life i knew I was meant to be a woman but unfortunately i waited until just recently to try and do anything about it. So far in my transition i have been doing electrolysis, seeing a therapist and i am waiting for the endocrinologist to contact me to set up an appointment to see about starting HRT (i already have the referral from my doctor so hopefully soon!) Well i hope to meet and talk to some amazing people!!!

Hello Brandi

You'll find Susan's to be a kind and welcoming place. 

You shouldn't think you're starting to transition late - 22 is a good age in terms of maturity and being able to enjoy the really good parts of your upcoming life as a woman.  Lots of us started much later!  What I can recommend is to surround yourself with good people, involve them in your transition, and make it your goal to enjoy your transition and be in control of it.

22 is definitely not too old, many of us much older and starting or just transitioned, with good results....

Hi. I'm glad you decided to join the forum. You must feel like a huge load is off your shoulders since you decided to transition. Being in the wrong body can really get on your nerves.

 Welcome to Susan's Place and 22 is young. I didn't come out of the closet until 23 and I started full time at 28. Making the transition as far as you have without help from the community is an accomplishment by it's self that you should be proud of. Most of us need help from other to get it right and I definitely needed help because I did't know the first thing about getting started. There are many interesting people here and all are very friendly. We all have something in common that make us brothers and sisters. Welcome to the family.
