I've seen so much infighting and hostility within our community over the last month that I'm tempted to say goodbye, it's sad for me because I love you, I love the creative, smart, courageous people that I meet and befriend but sadly it only takes a few rotten apples to spoil it for everyone.

Why are we our own worst enemies?

Am thinking I haven't been seeing the same threads as you have. But I guess every group has a few rotten apples at times.

I didn't buy a milkshake today while at work, which allows me to purchase a book from my childhood.  I made .87 cents Sunday, and found .04 cents, so I have .91 cents to go towards this book that I will pay to pay $4.00 for, so I'm paying $3.09 for it.  Cool.

It's going down to 3C tonight. I'm thinking there is going to be a cold little chick in Adelaide.

Sending you warm thoughts your way.

Cold here too. I'm so not looking forward to going home tonight. Wonder if I can sleep at work

OMG they are so soft in SA...

It was -7 at home this morning, coldest place in the country.

3C, balmy by comparison.
So long and thanks for all the fish

June is the cold month for us too where I live in the Waikato.  Hard frosts that turn all the roofs of the houses in our street white and heavy river mists that make the cold seep into your bones.  Black ice is a problem on the roads around here too, especially along the river gorge road.  There's always some idiot who doesn't drive for the conditions along there despite the warning signs and we have sirens going off in town and the local volunteer fire brigade chaps and the paramedics being called out to sort out somebody who has spun off the road.

Watching this:  McKinny Texas seems like a horrible place to live, and I'm not even just referring to the pool party incident.

Been thinking on the state of my insanity.

When I was young, there were commercials saying that a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

As a teen rebel, I knew everything and shared my mind with anyone and everyone, after all, why waste it?. Having splintered the best pieces of my mind, those who received my wisdom deemed it worth their time to to share pieces of their mind with me, sometimes returning small shards of my wisdom.

As a few years passed, I had kids and realized that my mind was in so many pieces that I knew next to nothing.

Finally, true wisdom around age thirty, All the kings horses and all the kings men, can't put my mind back together again.

Oh, the insanity of it all.

Why is it that one can be overwhelmed or underwhelmed, but not simply "whelmed"?

Or "gruntled"?

What up with that?

Modern English just might be the dumbest language ever.

I don't have much so I do my best to make do and find creative ways to try to enjoy what little I do have, but for some reason there always seems to be someone who thinks they need to take a crap on it - What the hell?!?!?!  :P

I apologize for ever even attempting and/or admitting to ever enjoying or being happy about anything!!!  :P
The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Probably why you considered fluent in a foreign language after 4 years but are required to study English for 12.
