Hello, i had my surgery  about 2 and a half months ago and im healing  very well. Everything is working the way it should be and im so happy now that it has finally been done.... but i have no sensation still and even tho i have been given the ok to (explore) i am worried because i cant feel nothing.. My question is how long does it normally take for sensations to return ? From the skin not being numb to the sensations inside ? It just worrys me if they dont, and i cant find any information on the internet regarding this... thanks for any help on this. It would mean so much to me xxx

Hi Lea, welcome to Susan's. I have taken the liberty of moving your topic. The forums FAQ section is for questions about the forums, but no worries all fixed now. I'm not post op yet so I won't be able to answer your question, but I'm sure someone else can. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

Your so very welcome. I'm glad to help. It takes awhile to get the feel for where things go. If it helps, even we don't always know where something should go and we just have to make the best effort where to place things sometimes. Hugs

I never had any sensation "inside". Most women don't, cis or trans.

My clitoris, however, had sensation from the start. It mostly felt irritated and raw for the first month or two, but by two months out I know I had sensation there.

Who was your surgeon? Can you contact him/her and raise your concerns?
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

my surgeon was Tina Rashid, she did an amazing job, but when i went for my surgical review. i did tell her about it and she said "Oh OK, if you still Dont get any feeling after 9 months you may need to go back for another operation to resolve it.." that kinda worries me a little bit... Im sorry when i said sensation inside, i meant clitoris sensation. Sex has never really bothered me in a sense of having it, but i would like to have the option of a full sex life.. I know it has only been a few months but i have been hearing the same thing your saying, that people can feel something strait away no matter how tiny it may be... thank you for helping me answer this question because i have been worrying about it

Assuming your surgeon is competent I'd not worry about it yet. Its quite common to be either hypersensitive of have nothing, and takes a while to resolve. Two months is not significant, start worrying after a year.

It is possible you have a Gspot. The former prostate might be where the Gspot is, a few cm inside of the vagina.
This is connected via a second neuronal pathway.
You might try if there are feelings there.
Some people can orgasm this way.

And, well, at your own risk... you might ask her if there is something you might do to support healing near the clitoris... like massage or a special ointment...
or if its better to just wait... and maybe eat healthy...

*hugs*

Hi Lea,

We are about the same amount of time post op, I'm in my 11th week since the op, I wouldn't say I have allot of clitoral sensation and there is also still some subdermal pain around the clitoris but I do have slight twinges that can feel nice at times but these are a recent event maybe no more than 2 weeks since they started.

I have a friend who had her surgery with Dr Rashid last year and she says it can take time for it all to work, We are all different and we all react to surgery differently, My GP told me it can take 6 months for the nerves to all get reattached so we both have at least 3 more months to go. Hope things go well for you and the feelings return.

Hugs
