On June 16, 2015, The DailyKos published an article Jeff. B. White, the former Executive Director of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Rainbow Center, who resigned under pressure from the board for making transphobic remarks to multiple trans women during the Memorial Day Weekend.

The original debate, which spiraled out of control, was whether or not Jeff B. White, a self admitted "non-trans" gay white male, was cisgender.  As a point of reference, Jeff B. White has admitted that he is cisgender, but for some reason, during the weekend debate, he was adamant that he wasn't.
