I know a lot of girls stay at Jenny's Nest during their time in Marbella. I recently got quoted EUR 2700 for my 16-day visit. The price just seems a bit too steep for me.

Bundle offers from sites like Expedia come up to $2300 for flight tickets and the 16-day hotel stay, all inclusive. The hotel is a 4-star property - "Hotel Fuerte, Marbella"

My question is what are the things should I be thinking about while making this decision. Staying at Jenny's Nest will cost me over $2400 more than the Expedia bundle. Are the additional services while staying at Jenny's Nest really worth the additional money?

Thanks and hugs ... Sneha

i wonder the same thing!. i believe if you are traveling alone, it might be a better option to purchase some of their services, because it sounds like Jenny can assist you with healing, run errands and take you out.

the way i think about it is, if i was bringing a friend or family member to help me, i would be paying for their flight and hotel anyways. So for me, it probably ends up being the same cost.

Hi Sneha,

I don't really have any answers for you, except that I am making a similar decision.  I am in the process of finalizing a September 7th surgery date with FT.  I've emailed Jenny about cost and availability, but I've not heard from her. So I may be staying elsewhere.

I am planning on traveling with my wife, but there is a reasonable chance that she won't be able to get away at that time, in which case I will be on my own. I look at the help that Jenny offers as invaluable considering I'm in an unfamiliar area, where I don't speak the language, and am in a compromised condition following surgery.

If my wife comes it will help a lot. We'd still be in an unfamiliar area, but she speaks a little Spanish (she was an exchange student outside Madrid for her last year of high school). Even then, it's not the same as help from someone that lives there.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Hi All

Jenny is a lovely person and extremely helpful.  This said, she does have very limited room.

Facial Team does offer packages that include all the transport you will need to and from the hospital and to possible externals for follow-up x-rays for example.  So, as long are you find accommodation around or in Marbella then this is covered, I believe.

In terms of location, Marbella is quite a big seaside town.  From the old town in the north  to FT is around 15-20 minutes by taxi.  If you stay up north in the older part, you get a lot of seafront promenade and many restaurants.  Down south in Banus, where FT are, it's the more luxurious and expensive part of Marbella.

In terms of accommodation,  do some searches for "Aparthotel Marbella".  These are small serviced studios with cooking facilities.  OH Marbella Inn is one, and I can vouch for Princesa Playa, which has a sea view and is at the edge of the promenade, so it's quiet, which, believe me, you will want.  This place is an OK 3-star, with breakfast on the roof terrace and a pool.  The staff are very friendly.  It's also 5 minutes from a reasonable supermarket and the cute old town.

Hugs
