Seed catalogs are in...

The seed Catalogs have been arriving in the mail. I personally like that sign winter is coming to a close.
Leah and I love having a garden. This year we are adding a green house. It should help our fighting the wind whipping and drying of the plants. and then we'll be able to have fresh Veggies year round too. With costs at the supermarkets we can save so much more year round too.
Please share tipes and even recipes for things you have enjoyed from your garden. We are always looking for the quicker, better, more efficient way of doing things.
Smiles,
Peggiann

I keep mainly herbs in what is left of my garden. The strawberry plant I bought for a quarter now owns a good portion of the area now as well. I use oregano on everything, chives on very little, rosemary on chicken, basil in my sauces and with meats, sage with chicken and spaghetti sauce, and the rabbits get most of the strawberries.

Where I live, I have to put hardware cloth (metal screening) around everything I plant, too many gophers, then put bird screening around the whole garden to keep out the squirrels, chipmonks (sp?), birds, etc. It is a real pain.
