what does it mean when other women smile at you?

They are just being friendly, warm and excepting. It's how we woman greet people. Men nod and woman smile. Hugs

Women are more likely to smile at other women they don't know. As Mariah says, they're being friendly - but also smiling at men can sometimes be misinterpreted by the guy so women don't tend to smile at men they don't know.

Be ready for a whole bunch of affirming and unexpected experiences.  Getting hit on by guys is one of the best and most unnerving things you can expect.
