Hello everyone!

Yesterday I started T - at a young age of 14! I am very happy about that :D

I was wondering how can you tell how low your voice will be? Do I look on my dad's side of the family? Because, my dad and my brother both have deep voices. I was wondering if I would too - since they had deep voices.

Also, I'm terrified of becoming bald. I'm not sure if I will be bald though... My dad isn't bald - and he's in his 50s - nor is my grandfather.. he's probably in the 70s range. Even on my mom's side, they aren't bald.

Last question... Will I grow a full on beard? My dad can grow a full on beard if he wanted to - so I'm guessing so can his dad as well.

(Yes, I know this all takes time but I'm only asking for the future)

Congrats on your transition!!!!

Honestly you're not going to start noticing any changes for quite a bit. Your voice is going to drop a little every now and then but it's going to be cracking like puberty. I've been on T for almost 2 years and my voice is still cracking. You will be able to grow a full beard and all that but that takes a long time depending on your genes. I believe as far as genes go you want to be looking at your mothers side of your family and not your fathers but i'm not 100%. Here is a link you can check out about T-myths just to keep yourself informed.

PS- DO NOT THINK TAKING MORE TESTOSTERONE IS GOING TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN FASTER.
You're young and you have all the time in the world do not RUSH it. :)
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.

I went to an all boys school so I got to see plenty of variations on the effects of T. Voice deepening was gradual and some guys were still squeaky at age 16 some were baritones. You won't have to worry about baldness probably until age 18 at the earliest, while some guys start thinning then the majority don't until their thirties or forties. As for beard, some of that is racial. I knew guys from European backgrounds who had full beards by 17 whereas the Asian guys only a few whiskers.

Congrats, hope it goes well for you!
