A transgender teen is slated to play a role on the USA Network's "Royal Pains" in conjunction with a new public service announcement from the network, which is sponsored by a partnership with PFLAG, the nation's largest LGBTQ family and ally organization.

Is transgender awareness becoming mainstream? Very cool that PFLAG is running a PSA during the show.

I just saw the episode. Looks like more and more trans material is being written into media lately, which seems like it would be a step like how gay/lesbian use to be unseen on t.v. I wasn't even sure that actor was trans at first until I researched.
