So my endo thankfully prescribed finasteride to prevent hairloss today and we checked my levels and im at 33 testosterone and I forget e but she said its where it should be lol... so ive heard finasteride raises t levels by about 9%.....do I need to be concerned about this at all? She told me a long time ago that my testosterone should stay under fifty after spiro and im afraid it could go above that by adding finasteride... is that at all likely?? Will spiro make it not go up at all or will it maybe go up to like 40? I don't want my levels screwed up but I cant risk hairloss! also does finasteride reduce body hair as my endo said it can and will it help at all with hairline? Thanks  :D

While it raises free testosterone is lower DHT which is much more potent than free testosterone. You should just ask your endo about your concerns. It did not reduce body hair for me, but I did not have much body hair to begin with.

mmmmm

It shouldn't raise T enough for it to have an impact... wait for the next blood test, and you will be able to compare. It's still possible to raise spiro dose, or try with stronger and more effective testosterone blocker if needed.
DHT weakens hair follicles on scalp and strengthens hair follicles on body hair. DHT-blocker should prevent this from happening... But how much it effects body hair reduction really depends from person to person. And it is hard to compare and prove, because most of us also take estrogen and testosterone blockers, so it's probably the combination of everything that is happening with body...
