"The law is getting negative reaction from many local people. The American Civil Liberties Union held a meeting in Johnstown Thursday night. Ten news couldn't find one person backing the bill"

I'm hoping that it never becomes practical to implement.  I see many things standing in the way of making this happen.

- There's this sticky issue of so many non-papered individuals in the country.
- Older people are going to place great resistance on the requirements of registration.  It's hard to imagine but they hav problems getting birth certs and such.
- Once people figure out how much information will be available to the security guard at the door who scans your card, they are going to scream rape.

So, I don' believe that it will really happen.  However, I've been wrong before.  This thing will be a nightmare for us ->-bleeped-<-s.

It's going to be a nightmare for a lot of people, but I'm not going to worry about it. What are they going to do? Personally, I don't think it will ever come about. Like you said, too many people don't like it and we will have a changing of the guard next year.
