Hello my beautiful ladies! I hope you are all doing well :)
I have my srs coming up in a week, and even though i never thought about it until now, my nerves are getting stretched and now all i think about is that.
Could some of you who had the surgery already give me some info-insider tips about the first day-week-month after the surgery? Do you have some recommendations about things I should take with me or tips on how to survive the best, or even surgery info about how your outcome looked after the surgery compared to after some time? Now I did my research very good, and obviously ive read things here and seen pics, but its always better to hear a personal story. Plus i'd like to ask, did anyone have sex after the 3 month mark as advised? How did it look? I do have my guy on hold, but he doesnt know about me being trans, and he has been wonderful waiting until im ready.
Oh im 22 going on 23 soon, this might have something to do with it, so stories from younger ladies might be more helpful. Love you all, wish me luck xoxoxoxo

Hello, something that might get overlooked is informing the surgeons one plans to use their neo-vagina for penetrative sex.

I recently underwent SRS in Los Angeles, CA.  Met with both surgeons prior to SRS.  Made it very clear I wanted them to do an extra good job since I planned to use my new vagina.  Apparently they got the message since that information was shared among them.

My SRS outcome after the lead surgeon removed the packing was in the following statement. "You will have a wide range of choices for lovers."

He was not kidding, width and depth is not a problem.  It also appears, they took additional precautions but not sure.

Every time I see my surgeon for a post-op visit, he warns me not to not yet engage sexual intercourse.

Good planning and communication can help achieve a good outcome and avoid unexpected disappoint or consequence.

Hope this helps,
Anne

Thank you Laura! I will definitely get a Betadine with me, and will buy a vaginal douche tomorrow! I wonder if i should apply any cream in or outside, but i guess this will be advised by the surgeon

You might also think about the bromelain, quite a few surgeons recommend it meanwhile...

Yes, ask the surgeon...

Hi. I think you'd get more help if you said where you're going. Its going to be somewhat different depending on who you see, and human nature being what it is people will more likely respond if you're seeing they same surgeon they did.

I have seen talked with 4 surgeons in Europe and got down to deciding between 2 of them Dr. Schaff in Munich an Dr. Djinovic in Belgrade. They are the only 2 in Europe who perform the surgery a bit different and can give you lubrication. They both have huge lists, but I got lucky. Plus I know personally a happy patient of him from a year ago, and have had other surgical procedures in a hospital, where everyone from the nurses to the doctors, praised him and  said he creates wonders. Plus he is the head of the famous Sava Perovic foundation which is know for being very good and innovating and is also mainly an urologist, which means he can really pay attention to what is the most important. My surgery will be 8 hours as he always does, as he says he wants to pay attention to the littlest of details. Oh and he is in a country near mine. Both my parents will come with me for the surgery and the aftercare. For more info you could message me and I will help you when I will be able! Wish me luck xx

According to studies the neovagina might turn into mucosa over time...
