I have been binding for 6 months
After today, I took it off, and my left nipple was pushed in, almost inverted sorta? There is also a sore, hard lump inside my breast, which has happened before but not the nipple thing.
I am a little concerned about this, although I have had a couple of long days lately.
What should I do, and should I be any more worried about what it is?

Could you tell us a bit more? When you say 6 months, I'm assuming you mean you've been binding daily for six months. How many hours per day? What kind of binder?

I would strongly recommend going to the doctor and letting them know what's up. I'd also say you either need a binder break or you need to get a different size or style.

Daily for six months yeah, from 7am to 4pm ( school hours ) and none on the weekend unless I go biking which is roughly 2-4 hours, easy biking, hardly sweating.
I wear an underworks tritop, which I got 3 weeks ago, and before that an extremely worn out underworks full length double thickness one, that did not bind well at all. I go running in the second one, and can keep up with my 17 year old brother, so no problems with that one.

My main concern is 1) ive gotten this weird lump for awhile but its never hurt, and 2) breast cancer has been in my family before. I am going to ask my mum about it.

Inverted nipples are a thing, my ex gf had inverted nipples naturally. Although, it is is strange that it randomly inverted.

As for the lump, is it underneath your nipple, or located elsewhere? I once had some sort of cyst located under my nipple. It was a hard lump about the size of a small grape that was there for a while but I was too embarrassed to ask about it (and dysphoric, I was like 16 at the time). One day after a shower I kinda squeezed underneath it and a bunch of clear liquid came out of one of the glands on the areola. Freaked me out but I was glad that it wasnt cancer lol. It never came back after that.

That being said I do think it's a good idea to ask your mom about it and possible have it looked at. Just don't freak yourself out before a medical professional has looked and told you anything.

yeah, grape sized and beneath the nipple sounds just like it. Ill still see if I can have a doctor check it out like you said.
Have you ever had any other problems with using a binder?
Mines an underworks tritop, so i shouldnt have an health problems, right?

Binding, no matter what you're doing it with, is potentially harmful. It's not safe at all to do with materials like ACE bandages, but even manufactured specifically for binding binders are going to hurt your back and shoulders, and long term use will breakdown breast tissue.

Back and shoulders, really any kind of muscular pain caused by long term binding can likely be fixed by a chiropractor or physical therapist once they get you aligned properly again. The breakdown of breast tissue isn't necessarily a health risk - it just makes them feel and look different, which can be a downer for some people.

I binded from age 17-26. The texture and feel of my chest was vastly different than a ciswoman of the same size by the time I was 19. I have had back issues since I was 21. I'm starting to see a chiropractor next month to hopefully get them sorted out now that I don't have to bind anymore.
