When Matt Smith replaced Tennant as The Doctor I stopped watching Doctor Who, I didn't like Smith very much

I decided to give him another chance earlier and watched the first episode of Season 5

that was 12 hours ago and now I'm deciding whether to sleep or go onto the Christmas Special... it's getting close to 5am now and it's pretty much daylight outside
I haven't been this hooked to a TV show since waiting for the next Tennant episode to air on BBC

CalmRage

a couple of songs/scenes from Bob Dylan's Renaldo And Clara (1978, shot in 1975)

my favorite bits of "casting":

Bob Dylan as Renaldo
Sara Dylan as Clara
Joan Baez as The Woman In White
Ronnie Hawkins as Bob Dylan
Ronee Blakely as Mrs.Dylan
Bob Neuwirth as The Masked Tortilla
Allan Ginsberg as The Father

now that's typical Bob!

The fascinating thing about this movie is the fact that they are performing in whiteface or other makeup and costume onstage, creating this surreal atmosphere. The funniest thing is Joan Beaz gypsydancing during an instrumental jam. The best musical moment is impossible to choose, but Tangled Up In Blue is one of the highlights and one of two pieces of video available officially from this almost forgotten box office flop.

Favorite parts of the movie:

Isis
Diamonds And Rust (incomplete as it is here)
Allen Ginsburg recites poetry in a smoky club
Romance In Durango
Sara (sadly only the 2nd half)
the brothel scene
Tangled Up In Blue
Just Like A Woman (the 1975 arrangement is fantastic)
Knockin' On Heavens Door (that Scarlet sure was a beauty)
