It's hard to believe I went full time a year a go today on a day I had therapy no less which I was discharged from only a few months ago now considering my only issue now is waiting for SRS. It seems only like yesterday when I think about it. I have accomplished a ton in that time. It's had it's up and downs, but many wonderful firsts in that time including my first relationship that I have never had in my life before. Leaving the Northwest to make a trip to down to Arizona for my SRS consult, I had never left this area before this year. When I first started I wouldn't go anywhere without makeup on yet I learned how to do that and still be Mariah and be comfortable doing so. I suppose the biggest thing is not giving a care about what people thinking and just living my life as Mariah and enjoying it. It's true somethings took longer than I hoped, but I still couldn't be happier with how the year has gone. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I scheduled my next electro session to prepare for SRS, but lucky me it's today. Needless to say I will treat myself to a manicure this afternoon and dinner tonight.

I am so glad for you Mariah, you deserve everything good in your life, your sweet, your caring, your honest, and lended me your ear and advice so so soooo many times.  I understand the whole makeup thing, I just recently came to that point, and am comfortable anywhere, anytime, with anyone, anyway I want.  Sounds like you have done the same.  Happy 'B' day many times over  .  Your sister always,   Dani

The first year of full time really blazes past before you know it - like you I am about to hit my one year traniversary and I am shocked that it's been a year already. It seems like only a couple of months ago that I was in court for my name and gender change.
