Desperately need to get my hair cut and styled.  Still present male most of the time, but I would like to get a more feminine haircut.  The last time I tried this - the person just stared at me, shrugged her shoulders and gave me trim because she didn't know what else to do..  At least she charged me the male haircut rate...lol.  Don't even get me started on the unspoken tax/surcharge on women! [emoji35]

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for stylists that understand my needs and work with me around the shape of my face/head.

It may help to look through some hairstyle books or magazines while you wait, and pick out a few styles that you like, show them to your stylist, and ask if any of them will work for you, and if she says no, then ask her for a feminine style that works for your face shape. If your hair is short, and you are growing it out, you could show the stylist some pictures of longer hairstyles that you like, and ask her to give you tips on short hairstyles that work for you while you are growing out your hair, and to only trim your ends slightly every 6-8 weeks, until you reach your desired length. Color and highlights can also help to soften your look, so you could ask your new stylist for advice on that as well.  Best wishes
