Hey fellas...you already know by the title of this thread what I'm talking about. Feeling pretty ->-bleeped-<-ty right now..some nice changes happening with T, but why oh why can't the Sharks GTFO!!
Ugh...2 1/2 months on T...is it too soon to be rid of the red devil? Or am I cursed??? .....
>:-)

My uterus had one last "oorah" on T about a week or so after I started, haven't had one since, but my buddy has been on shots for 2 or 3 months and, though he thought his were gone, had one sneak up on him recently. I think it's only considered abnormal after 6 months, so you might just have to give it some more time. Mine were infrequent to begin with, even pre-T, so I suspect that's why they went away so fast.

Regardless, sorry you're still not out of that boat yet, hopefully they'll go away soon.

My endo gave me a list of "changes" and it says something like 6 months to a year when red stops.  She never went into details with me on that because I had a hysterectomy last year due to a none trans related health issue.

It's different for everyone.. Ive heard of some guys being several months on T and still getting it. I was very lucky, I had my last shark week the week after I started T... Haven't had anything since (almost a year now)...

But one thing I hate is that the paranoia has never stopped. I've heard of guys that have been on T for a year or more have random spotting. Sometimes I still get random cramps and I sit there worrying myself to death that it's starting back up. I managed to get to a place mentally where I could deal with shark week without too much distress before T... But if it were to come back I would be a trainwreck haha.

Needless to say I cannot wait until I can get a hysto :P

I think most of the time they'll tell you up to six months for it to stop. Personally, I was not one of the lucky ones and mine didn't fully, completely stop until about eight months. I had my last actual period at 5-6 months I think, and then had some very minor (like not even enough to get on your underwear) but continuous spotting for about two months, and then it finally decided to leave me alone.

I know it totally sucks to have to still be dealing with it, but it's nothing to worry about yet. Hang in there!

I'm at two months and mine arrived (a week late) yesterday. It's noticeably different in texture and substance and so I know it's on its way out, but UGH what a drag, huh? I feel you, friend.

I am also one of many who stopped getting the strawberry squirts within a few weeks of being on T. I do however (on rare occasions) get cramps. They aren't like how my cramps use to get where they made me crawl into the fetal position causing me to hug the life out of my heating pad. It's more like cramps that politely knock on your lower abdomen and ask if your uterus would like to come out and play. I of course decline, take a poop and it goes away. But, like everyone else says it's gonna be different for each person.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.

Mine stopped around 3 months, and I hear that's kind of average.
It got a lot lighter by that time too. Has yours changed any?

As has already been said, it can take up to six months. I hope it stops ASAP for you, I remember how much it sucked.
Apologies, I'm not myself but I can guarantee
That when I get back, you won't believe
That you knew me well
Don't want to think about it
I'm ****in' tired of getting sick about it
Now stand back up and be a man about it
And fight for something, fight for something, fight for something!

Best two sentences on this site!

I hate how drawn out my shark weeks are now. Pre-T, it was just four days of volcanic misery. Now it's 8-10 days of feeble bleeding, stopping and starting. I hope this means the end is nigh.

TW!!

I'm pre-t but just wondered if anyone had any experience with this. So I'm currently on meds (I think they're progesterones, they're like contraceptives but don't stop you from getting pregs) to stop shark week being horrendous. My periods were really really bad before starting these meds, like super heavy had to change every hour and pretty much every day or other day I'd experience really embarrassing leakage (I'd always have a hoodie that I could wrap around my waist).

Anyways this medication is great and it usually lasts from early Saturday to a potential spot here or there on Tuesday and they're normal or even slightly light. I'm worried that I'll have to go off these when I start T as I imagine the two would cancel each other out or something.

Has anyone either stayed on a progesterone whilst starting T or have always had really heavy bad ones and then went on T?

Inmotion, I had pretty severe shark weeks. It was like a sharknami (more severe than sharknado). I have found that in the 3 months since starting T, the severity has lessened. That's just me though. As much as I have hated it, it has gotten better. I just hope it doesn't come back..
