Okay. I SUCK at introductions so bear with me.

My name is Drake, I'm a 21 year old transman living in Alabama, I've not been able to start my process due to financial restrictions based on current health issues, but I'm looking for support. I tried tumblr, but most blogs were misleading.

Not much to say for me except that I'm a cosplayer, I spend my days at home working on costumes and props while just lazing around on the internet. I try to be very open minded, and I'm an ear for those who need someone to listen.

Welcome to the forum, where in alabama are you from? I was born and raised in Mobile, down on the Gulf Coast. Same city that Laverne Cox is from.

Wow. We've got a lot of Mobilians here. Years ago, before I moved to Chicago, I used to live in Mobile as well.

Welcome, Drake!!!!   Cosplaying looks awesome, and I would like to do it one day! 

Jen, how ironic!  I was born and raised just outside of Chicago on the Indiana side; been down this way for 14 years now (yes, I do miss it, even more so in recent years).  Hardcore-true blue Cubbie and Hawks fan; yes, I do loathe the White Sox!

teddybear_Zach - he apparently hasn't been paying attention to the thread...lol. He's not from Alabama, we're originally from Lithia Springs, GA. He now lives in Bessemer, in a house that's been in the family for decades. Originally belonged to our great-uncle and his wife, then spent all of our lives as property of our grandparents. I lived there about a year and a half. Grandmother moved out and bought a place out near Tuscaloosa, and gave the old house to our parents.

As I said, he doesn't seem to have been paying attention, but I'm his sister, so I can provide a little background. I don't understand his end of the struggle, but he knows that he and I are in this together. We might butt heads a lot, but I do love him.
