I'm 7 weeks postop, and I'm wondering if it's safe to touch and experiment down there yet. I have not even thought about it until recently, as I didn't want to damage anything, it looked like a mangled mess, but the aesthetic look is starting to come together and my sex drive is creeping back. I'm also getting sensation now

I would also like to know if it's safe to have oral performed on me this early, as long as we stay away from penetration. Sorry for the explicitness of this post, I hope it's ok and the thread doesn't get deleted. I emailed my surgeon these and other questions last week, but have not heard back yet. Thank you for any answers you can give!

I personally would wait until 3 months... or be extremely careful...
with an o there are supposed to be quite a few muscle contractions

but people heal at different times...

It definitely depends on the surgeon and the technique. Brassard said it was safe to explore carefully with "very clean hands" at one month post-op (and if orgasm was a problem, that was out of my control, as it happened at 3 weeks post-op while I was asleep!). I would definitely think twice about oral until everything is *completely* healed, as the mouth is full of bacteria. I know that's not very romantic, but an infection would be bad.

My surgeon said should be ok to have a spa 12 weeks long as there is no open wounds and as long as I have a shower afterwards,

I agree with Jenna 7 weeks with a bacteria filled mouth might be pushing your luck

Dr. Bowers says "12 weeks is the recommendation for resuming sexual activity, but some people do it sooner...let your body be your guide." That seems like sensible advice to me. If you're healed enough (and being clean enough) that infection risk is acceptably low for you, then listen to your body and don't do anything that feels uncomfortable. That would be my thought.
