The first posters for transgender period drama The Danish Girl have been released.

The Brit actor has taken on the role of transgender pioneer Lili Elbe for the film directed by Tom Hooper, who also helmed Oscar winners Les Miserables and The King's Speech.

It looks set to be another incredible transformation for the Oscar winner who in 2014 portrayed Professor Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything
