everywhere i go i seem to be the only guy(i am not out at work like most of us) that doesn't like football. i don't get it, i don't watch it. it really bores me to know end. because i feel this way, i feel like there some kind of absolute male gene i am missing because i like other sports like nascar, volleyball, basketball, and baseball. or maybe i am just missing the football part of the gene..lol. i have actual lesbian friends who like to watch football more than i do. i just wondered if anyone on here felt the same as i do...i know i am not the only girl who hates football.....

Funny you should ask this question, i oftern ask the same thing. Now i am going to awnser it from bothsides. As a man i hate football with a passion but there are lots of men who dont get it. As a transexual woman i can say a lot of my gg friends have more passion for the sport than me.

hi lucy,

the thing i don't get is why i don't get it either way..i don't care to watch it as a man or a woman....lol

I wouldnt let it worry you to much, i have more important issues to care about like doing my nails or plucking my eyebrows. LOL. Just worry about the usefull stuff like family and forget hunky men sweatin aroud a football pitch.

WOW!  I am a "die hard" Pittsburgh Steeler fan.  In fact the number of women (gg) and us, to claim who be "Steeler" fans, is number one in the US of A.  Although, I would rather be a woman, than a man.  I would still be a Pittsburgh Steeler fan.  maybe it's something in the water here.  ms ricki

I love a good game of football! I'm no fanatic, but I really do enjoy the suspense and strategies involved. As an Eagles fan though, that's mostly "how can we best lose the game today?"

Now my wife, omg... totally nuts for it. She knows every statistic, every player number, every win/loss history... it's frightening. She's in football pools (the only girl), and generally kicks the guys butts. She makes fun of me constantly when football players do commercials by testing me, "Who is it? Come on, it's easy!" Yea, uh huh, I have no idea...

And yet, she's about as girly and feminine as you can imagine.

It's OK.  Can't get nearly as excited about it as I used to.  However, my wife is a much bigger football fan than I ever was.  Go figure.

I do not care for any sport. I do not like to see people competing against each other. I rather see them work together. I do like sport cars because of their design beauty but could not care less about the drivers.

I'm not really a true football fan as I won't just sit and watch any game that happens to be on.  Now, that being said, the Georgia Bulldogs got ripped off in the BCS matchup because the media was scared of them blowing Ohio State out like Florida did last year and wanted them to play LSU so the Buckeyes had a chance of staying in the game.

Go Dawgs!!!!!!!!! Woof woof woof

Life has not been good to us in the bay area with the raiders and 9ers working overtime to race to the bottom.  I think most of the people I know are quasi-fans, they watch the games if they are on, but we are really a baseball town.

I concur entirely. We call football the F-word in our house:) And you're not alone by any means if you're not "out" at work. I'm hardly "out" to our street, let alone at work:)

or maybe they wanted the sec champ  ;)

There is absolutely no possible way that was the reason.  After all, if it were true, we wouldn't have anything to complain about.  :P  And let's see, OSU was #3 and Georgia #4.  Buckeyes don't play and move up to #1.  Dawgs don't play and drop to #5.  Huh?   ??? ???

may be has some thing to do with being picked on by the jocks but I don't like any sports really. I tried to be friends with a few cheerleaders and got laughed at so I don't envy them :)

Does swimming count as sport?

Anything is a sport if its athletic and done with set rules in competition.  Otherwise, its exercise and/or recreation.

i think it was -- remember the stink when nebraska didnt go to the b12 championship and still played for the mnc --  apparently there is now an "unwritten rule" that if you dont win your conference championship, you dont play for the mnc.

i agree, it sucks i think the dogs are playing great football right now.

For those who don't understand, Ashley Michelle and I are not talking about football but Southeastern Conference football which is a different thing.  In the SEC, a Georgia grad married to a Florida grad is considered a mixed marriage, an Alabama grad would rather shoot themselves in the foot than kiss a Tennessee grad, LSU folks are certain that the devil resides somewhere on the Auburn campus and everybody in the SEC considers the University of Kentucky a school for slow learners.  LOL

Of course you know what SEC grads say to Stanford/Harvard/Yale grads once they out of college - no matter how good the football team was?  "Yes boss."  Which was the real reason for college in the first place.
