Im looking at a breast augmentation right at the two year on HRT mark. Being trans already makes the procedure slightly different from most BAs performed, but I also have a mild-moderate pigeon chest.

I've spent some time looking for the top end experienced BA surgeons so that 1- they know if it is an appropriate time for surgery, 2- they have done trans women augmentations before, and 3- they can help with the sizing and placement for the chest issue. I >think< I have decided on Dr. Tom Pousti in San Diego. I am in Seattle and expected to find a big name surgeon here, but haven't found anything impressive at all.

Can anyone recommend Dr. Pousti, or share experiences with him? I am planning to schedule a consult, but flying to SoCal and a consult isn't super cheap, so I would like to hear any experiences I can to validate this choice.

Hi JenP,
I am Trans and I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Pousti. To date I have had three breast augmentations with him, each time getting larger (my own decision each time). Each time perfect! As you can read on his website he has significant experience with BA's and with Transwomen like myself. The process is actually no different for us vs those born in a female body. I recorded a testimonial for him where I have said all of my thoughts as to why I chose him and all the details. It took me several years of research to find him but I would trust my body to no other. I live in NYC and interviewed many PS's, none of whom I were confident in contracting. He is the worlds best, a beautiful caring person, a true artist, a realist and both a PS and a qualified surgeon. The costs were about half of what I could have paid in NYC too. You can find my video about my experience and thought process with him. He gets 5 stars hands down. Ask me anything if you would like. He is a genuine saint!

Hi Jen,
You have found your surgeon! Dr. Tom is fantastic and is supported by great staff. I have had 2 BA's and will have my 3rd in November to get me to my goal, Large! I did a search internationally and at the end the choice was a "No Brainer", and now having had to ops with Dr. Tom, there is no way I would look for an alternative. Dr. Tom is an artist with plastic surgery, really it's not rocket science, but the results he achieves are nothing short of amazing. The first Op when the "pockets have to be made to place the implants takes a bit to recover, that involves surgery under the mussel. I would have been tender for about a month. However the 2nd one I had nearly a year ago was a walk in the park! I seriously had to stop myself from over doing it only a week after the op. That recovery was truly fantastic.
I travel from Australia to to go to Dr. Tom, I can only say, this is my surgeon!
As far as you pigeon chest, if anyone can work around this, it is Dr. Pousti.

As a Transgender person all my life, to have had my boob jobs has been the best, for someone with a full and rewarding life, to be completing this personal picture is the very best move I've made for myself.

I wish you the very best, may your outcome be any where as good as mine and you will be overjoyed!
