Ive been spending a lot of time over at my oldest sisters the past few weeks. My niece has just change schools and has made more friends, so my sisters house has got a lot busyer, with children ageing from 6 to 14 constantly in and out, the door doesnt stay open or closed for very long.

But for the same reasons I stand outside of the schools when I go with my sister to colect her children, I feel nervouse when meeting a parent of any child that has been around me. There was One girl that has gotten to be close enough friends with my niece that sleep overs came up, this meant that it was, parants get together time, so although my sister and this gils other had met before, they never realy got to know each other.

So the girls mother came around and had a long chat with my sister, during this conversation the woman said "so hows your wierd sister?" my nephew hearing this said "which one?" meaning he wanted to know which of his aunts this woman was calling wierd. With his choice of words, my sister and this woman though he was on about me.

So the woman chuckled and said to my sister, does he even know his aunt, lmao. Ofcours I think she means me. But she said I mean, (name of middle sister that disowned me for a while). She then goes on to say, And if its you aunt over ther you thought i was on about (pointing at me), shes normal, ive met a lot of wierdos in my life time but she isnt one of em.

Just wanted to share.

Thanks for sharing that.

I'm hoping more and more people will start having that attitude.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?
