Yes there is a science behind this. I do have it myself.

No one? Oh well the idea I had was that dyslexia and other conditions it is associated with are linked to maternal imprinting, basically all this means is that the genes from the mother are more active and the ones fro the father are less so.

There is a wonderful book about this theory called "the imprinted brain". I intend on reading into this as a possible answer (for me at least)
