So my family doctor referred me to an endocrinologist in ON who also looks after another trans patient but I got a call today that he refuses to take me for one reason or another. I'm really not sure what to do. I can't wait 3 years for camh. I'm thinking of calling every Endocrinologist I know of to ask if they take trans patients and get my family doctor to refer me to one? My GP won't do anything personally.... Kinda wanna puke right now. Finally getting on HRT has been the only thing on my mind for the past year.

Depending on where you live, a gender therapist might be a quicker option. Though it's invariably more expensive because you have to pay the therapist.

Alternatively, if you already have a good relationship with a family doctor, they can prescribe you HRT directly using Sherbourne's guidelines, if they are willing to take that on. HRT doesn't really require a specialist, and Sherbourne has been trying to devolve more of the responsibility for HRT monitoring to the wider medical community in Ontario. (The guidelines are freely available on Sherbourne's website.)
