I've purchased three copies of this to share library style (with the authors permission). It's not a giveaway, I'll mail you the book, but you have to send it back to me or the next person when you're done. This is a moving, but triggery book.  Here is a review

If you're interested, send me a PM to make mailing arrangements. I want everyone to read this story.

The first reader has finished the book! I encourage everyone who gets a copy of this from me to leave a note for the author and future readers.

It was good, I recommend it not just for trans* people, but parents and family as well. It was refreshing to read something from a parent's perspective for once.

The book came back with some papads, and all the ingredients and brewing instructions for a cup of Punjabi style cha. I think Henry is trying to culture me up!  All three copies are available for reading if anyone is interested.

A first for the underground library, we have two copies out at the same time right now!  :)

There's still a copy available, someone make my day and request it!

I would highly recommend this book, I laughed and cried throughout.  It is a well written and beautifully poignant story.

Many thanks to Devlyn for freely loaning out this book!

Just finished last night.

It was very moving and very funny. High, highs and pit like lows. As a parent it spoke so much to the things we can never know about our children. We cannot really know what they are thinking. There is no manual for children in general or trans children specifically.

Thanks, Devlyn

Thanks ladies! It takes readers to make an underground library work, I couldn't do this without your help!  :)

It looks like I'm sending out the third copy, but I have one on the way back, so put your request in if you would like to read this book and I'll get one right out to you!

One copy back in the Library, who's next?  :)  This is the first one that was circulated, it has the most notes from readers in it, but I need more!  :-*

i'm almost finished. My local PFLAG director also read it. I can definitely relate to Alice in some ways. I think it could help my mother. I also want to share it with friends. I thought the level acceptance Alice got was unrealistic for most trans people, but the other issues she went through, I can relate too. Its kind of nice to know that i'm not the only trans woman who didn't wear princess dresses or frequently play with dolls or makeup as a young child and that I'm not the only one with my problems. Alice makes me feel less lonely.
