I have a list of names I've been trying to clear to one name. What do you (the reader) think of the names?

- Aeron (War/Death Goddess)
- Anastasia (She who will rise again)
- Aqua (Water, peace)
- Celeste (Burning flame)
- Ebony (Dark strength)
- Eris (Goddess of destruction)
- Evelyn (Life)
* - Faith (Confidence, trust in self, catlike)
* -Faline (Cat like)
- Fia (Dark of peace)
- Jinx
- Kira (Dark Lady)
- Lilith (Of the night)
- Luna (The moon is the outsider)
- Namine
- Neoma (New moon)
- Nerine (Sea Sprite)
* - Nyx (Embodiment of night)
- Rain
- Ravyn (Dark haired, wise One)
- Saden (Dark Hearted)

I am pretty much a fan of boring names than are not in any way unisex, so I called myself Sarah123t. I wish I could drop the 123t bit though, because it makes me sound like an android when I introduce myself.

I think I would pick Evelyn off the list. That seems like a nice, sensible name. But, actually, I secretly want to be an Anastasia or a Nyx, which would be much more interesting.

I like Luna (assuming you don't mind being associated with Luna Lovegood), and Nyx. But obviously which name would fit you depends entirely on your personality.

Tori

Ahhh... naming yourself is a cool process and we all go through different criteria.

I wanted to come up with something my parents logically could have named me when I was born 40 years ago... and then shorten it to something I preferred.

So I picked Victoria and shortened it to Tori which I like way better and sounds a bit like my dead name.

I like Luna quite a bit, and Jinx also stands out to me. Kira is quite beautiful.

Both Faith and Evelyn stood out to me. Hugs

Stella Sophia

I am really liking Kira, that is a really cute name that can fit so many types of female personalities.

For me, the name my parent's gave me was distinctly masculine and strong, so I wanted something undoubtedly feminine and classic. I picked Stella and I asked my mom to give me my middle name as her way of accepting me as her daughter so she chose Sophia. Turns out Stella Sophia looks good and sounds good and I love it!  ;D

I'm super goofy, but I like Ravyn, and Nerine, and Faline.

I'd avoid Lilith, Eris, and Saden.

I think names mean something and reflect how others perceive us, and as such how we perceive ourselves.  The three names I'm against are associated with powerfully destructive consuming or chaotic energies, and I think it's not something that should be invited in.

I named myself Amanda because my Mom, in a moment of lucidity very rare for her, told me that when I was born the doctors thought I was going to be a girl, and that I was going to originally be named Amanda after my great grandmother.  As it's the name my mother would have given to me it was natural for me to select it.  I also like that I can shrink it to Amy(I like long names that can be shrunk).  Had I not called myself Amanda I would have went with Elizabeth and Ellie for short, as I've always loved the name and it means "Oath from God" which seems to ring of honesty, which I strive for all the time.

All opinions aside, whatever you select, make sure it has real meaning to you.  That is my advice.

Not on list, but what about Mildred?

OMG... Mildred Ethel Jones... YES!  what a beautiful, youthful name

If you don't take this name, I totally am going to...

Alice Borealis

I vote for Celeste or Rain. Super pretty names.
  •

AbbyDS74

I like Celeste too. It was on my list of possible names.
  •

Tamika Olivia

As an eternal Buffy fan, I have to go with Faith.

I called myself Sarah123t. I wish I could drop the 123t bit though, because it makes me sound like an android when I introduce myself.

Sarah, I think it has a  lovely flow ;) Of course I have always been a sucker for sci/fi.

Evelyn  gets my vote. Maybe I'm biased towards names ending in lyn.

Hmm some lovely names there. I would avoid Ebony despite it being a gorgeous name it also has some other erm... connotations on the Internet unfortunately. Lilith is also really nice but is used a lot for vampires/goths in fiction.

I would say Kira is my favourite with celeste and Evelyn being really nice too. Oh I love picking names!!!

I always thought it best to go back to the year you were born and choose a name from the list of top names for that year. . . .  :)

Harley Quinn

I like Rain, but would go with Rainy. But with any name, it should be something that resonates with your personality. Birth names you have time to grow into... chosen names are always best when they convey your truest self.
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)

Lilith

Well I obviously love Lilith ;). I think Jinx is swell (League fanatic  <3). Just seems so mischievous.
