I've been on hrt for 8 months, since January 2014. I stopped having a period by April. Until now. I have blood coming from my bits and it's very similar to period blood. It's not a lot, or regular, but it's giving me mass dysphoria and freaking me out because it feel s like I'm going backward I my transition all of a sudden.

I don't know why it's happening, my best guess is that I have an Mirena iud in that's due to come out in a few months but I haven't had that problem before.

Has this happened to anyone? Can anyone provide insight? I went to outpatients at the hospital and they were useless and all like, You still have a uterus so I don't now what your problem is. So discouraging.

Breakthrough bleeding like you're describing can occur at any point until you get a hysto unfortunately. Often there's no rhyme or reason for it, it just is what it is.

I'd say make an appointment with whoever puts in your IUD and see if they can take a look. At the very least, they can make sure that everything is good inside or give you a better assessment of what's going on.

The same thing happened to me at around that time and lasted for 2 months straight from what I remember :-X I was too embarrassed to do anything about it but it finally went away and hasn't come back since.
