You might ask for bioidentical micronized estrogen.
It can be taken sublingually, which is supposed to be better for the liver and help with clotting.

It might be of advantage to split the daily dose in a few smaller parts, for example four small parts instead of two big ones, which might give a seesaw pattern and have an influence on mood.

You might ask about bioidentical progesterone.
It might help with mood, have some anti androgen effects, even out some effects of estro and help with breast growth.

The bioidentical forms of hrt have different effects than the other ones.

By the way there is a chat on susans. And you can send private messages.

When I switched to injections I use to get nauseous the first 2 or three days in a cycle when I first awoke. I ate a few saltines and it went away. After 3 or 4 cycles I no longer got nauseous. Drink a lot of water.  Spiro will dehydrate you and you can get headaches. Also, when on Spiro eat salt.

I had headaches and extreme mood swings for the first 2 weeks I was on HRT.  Give it another week or so to see if the side effects settle down, or back down your dosage by 25% or so to help your body acclimate for a week, then up it back to full dose again.  If none of that helps, I'd suggest consulting with your doctor.  Drugs do all kinds of funny things to our bodies, some of them we can get used to, others we can't.

(I am not a doctor, this is just my opinion)

Hi, I started with of estradiol/estriol bioidenltical gel, my doc prescribed so I was taking of the dose to start, the first two weeks I thought I was not going to be able to continue, I had dizziness, confusion, chest pressure, forgetfulness, and a minor headaches, on the 3rd week i increased the dose to  side effects went away, I got happy, the next two weeks I was fine, then symptoms came back,I cut sown to  again and been like that for 10 days, and side effects seemed to go away again, except today I started feeling a headache but I had stress at work, never before when i had stress a work before starting hrt had felt a headache. My doc also prescribed me micronized progesterone pills and said I may get less of the side oeffects of estrogen if I take it, so Im going to start that.

It takes time for you body to adjust to the reduction of one hormone and the increase of another.

I was about 6 weeks in and then the E took control. I felt it and I no longer had the male sexual response. I had to adjust in order to achieve sexual function.

I am on spiro and I had to eat salt and drink a lot of water. I just recently added walking steps. 6 months ago I did 11 flights a day and now 33 flights a day (23 and 10  4 hours apart). I want to do the 23 flights 3 times a day as a goal. My breathing and dizziness has improved enormously. My stamina is now fantastic. I have headaches often from dysphoria so I do not know if exercise helps that.
