Two really good things happened, one an action on my part and one a statement from the therapist.
1) For the first time... ever... I went out in public and to therapy en femme. Nothing too drastic, just a purple women's tee, a blue skirt, some cute (but too large) shoes, and painted toe nails. The therapist was both surprised and impressed! Walking out of the house was one of the top 10 scariest things I've ever faced, but as they say in Westeros "Fear cuts deeper than swords." After therapy I was even brave enough to grab a bit from a drive through.
2) My therapist has agreed to write my HRT letter! I was talking to her today about hormones, and made it clear that I knew what I was talking about. I also told her there were some local docs that were willing to prescribe to trans* patients upon referral. I asked if she would be willing to write the letter, and she was!
So, that was Tamika's big day at the therapists office. I'm gonna go walk on sunshine for a while!
