Hey guys. So I'm considering several surgeons for my top surgery, but dr. rumer is my first choice. I don't know anyone who's been to her, though, so I was wondering if any of you had. If you have gotten surgery from her, can you let me know how that went? Would you recommend her?

I can't personally think of anyone on here that has gone to Dr. Rumer, but I know there is at least a page full of results from her on Transbucket. That's a good starting point.

I'm pretty sure there are a few guys on the FTM Top Surgery Faq group on facebook that have had surgery by Rumer.

I've heard of at least 2-3 guys who have experience with Dr. Rumer on tumblr, but I don't remember their handles for the life of me. I'm sure if you look the name up you should find posts and pictures.

Just so you know if you do decide on Dr.Rumer you will need a letter from a gender therapist stating that they are behind you on getting this surgery. My best friend had his skype consultation with her and they told him he needed a letter from a gender therapist. So now he has to set back his surgery so he can go and see a therapist that will give him a letter since the one he saw is about 2 1/2 hours away and she won't just give him a letter because he hasn't seen her in about 2 years. My surgeon only required a letter from my endo and I'm very happy with my results (minus the headache of insurance not helping me).

There is one guy on the Top Surgery Recovery sticky that went to Rumer.  I always forget his name.  I would start at the beginning of the thread to find him.  I think he only did like one post/picture.  He is a larger guy and was happy with his outcome (at the time he was happy... this post was soon after his surgery).  He said he went to Rumer because he heard she does well with larger guys.

I do know a guy who went to her a bit over two years ago who lost half of his areola.

As an aside, I don't know where you live, but Dr. Fischer is very well known and has been doing top surgery since the 1990's.  She is in Timonium, MD which is near Baltimore.  It is an hour and 40 minutes from Philly (yes, I just google mapped it for this post!).

I went to Dr.Fischer and highly recommend her. I'm very happy with my results and was very pleased with her whole staff.

Ditto what he said. If you're looking in that general geographic area, Dr. Fischer is an excellent choice.

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I had chest surgery with Dr. Rumer June of 2014. She was awesome and her office is great. I recommend her to anyone. If you have any questions let me know.
