I recently, as some of you may know, started HRT and I'm taking Provera, Estradiol and Spironolactone. Now recently I've been reading up on Provera and I've discovered some things that concern me... one I've heard it can be converted from a progestin to and androgen. That scares me... quite a bit, so I guess what I'm trying to ask is that when I take my progestin along with my Anti-A will the Anti-A block any of the progestin (if there is any) that turns into T? Also another question I had, and this is more of a objectional question, do any of you think that a progestin is a needed thing in an HRT regimen (especially at my age, 16)?

I'd probably talk to your doctor about the different things that people say about progesterone.  For the most part, it's a highly debatable matter, so you're probably going to get a lot of different views on it.

Progesterone and various synthetic progestins have different effects.

Provera has MPA (medroxyprogesterone acetate) which is not a very nice progestin - although some people are happy with it.

A better alternative may be micronized progesterone instead of the synthetic progestins - or if cost is an issue dydrogesterone.

Don't worry about what progestin can be metabolized into.  That kind of thing is going on inside your body all the time.  Estrogen, progestin, and testosterone can all be changed into each other by the right chemical processes, and regularly are to make your body work correctly.
