"GIRLS will be boys at Barnard College, and it's driving school officials crazy. A coed who wants to be a man says she had to move off campus because her dorm was "just so girly."

Odd that if the person wanted a more male environment they chose a female college.  Me, I would have loved Barnard, but at the time they did not accept men.  They should have tried, oh say, West Point - or the college of engineering at Penn State.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Maybe the gentleman's parents pushed a women's college on him for some reason. Growing up, many of us were not allowed a free choice in our gender roles. Many of us did not begin to break out of gender roles imposed in childhood until later in life. If the individual is FTM, he should be called "he" not "she." Some journalists still haven't gotten the memo?
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride
