Hallo folks. I'll do an introduction separately. I live in Wales, which used to only refer patients to Charing Cross (which has long wait times).

I just thought that any girls transitioning in Wales might be interested to know (or am I the last to discover this!?) that my personal experience is as follows;

- GP referral in Sep 2014.
- Psychiatric screen at St Cadoc's in Dec 2014.
- Endocrinology consult at the Royal Gwent in Newport in September 2015 (which I expected to be additional gatekeeping prior to review and possible referral to CHX)...at the end of which I marched out (wearing a rather bemused, though delighted, expression) with three months worth of estradiol valerate and a three-month Zoladex implant.

All I can say is...thank goodness for that! I hope it's an across-the-board change (I know there have been noises off about creating a Welsh GIC) - I'd be very interested in hearing about any other Welsh ladies' experiences (particularly recently).
