Dean, go see a hair specialist.
This is starting to aggravate...
You don't listen.

And while you're at it se an endo.  Everyone  reacts differently to HRT, and nowhere has it been proven the HRT will reverse hair loss.  I think it's safe to say that most men will suffer male patern baldness, and many women also suffer from hair loss as they get older.

I'm a bit worried to, seems like too much hair is falling out while in the shower. But I don't know it could just be breaking from my hair getting finer. I know my solution is to get the money and go for GRS as soon as possible, that way you won't even have to take spiro. I'm considering trying Androcur (sorry think I spelt that wrong) but I hear it's a lot more expensive so I'll have to see. You can always go for an Orchiectomy too, Spiro is just a temporary solution if you ask me.

Hair?  You have hair?

Sigh.

Hello,

Spironolactone is a diuretic are sure your skin and hair are not too dry and make your hair break easily. I'm no doctor and I'm not on spiro because it has a horrible interaction with my BP meds  but I found that a lots of fluids, vitamin E,  or omega 3+6 fatty acid has helped my hair from breaking since I have gotten old and starting to dry out. I also take folic acid I think that helps me. Just run it by your doc to make sure.  Also are sure that your might not be getting finer hair as in a smaller shaft. I would listen to Keira and Steph because it sounds like you been pretty worried about it for a long time.

Bye for now

The hair thing does not bother me so much anymore it seems to be dying down a bit. Although I seemed to be loosing hair, overall things looked great. I agree it could be a result of skin dryness from the Spiro.

Skin dryness is totally unrelated to hair loss.
There's much more chance of hair loss if you've got
oily skin because it means you've got a sensitivity
to testosterone, which does impact the hair folicles.
I wish there wasn't so much myths about hair loss.

Low T creates skin dryness.

Well i almost had the same experience since i started hormones.200 hair per day.I was terrified. I added proscar to my regimen and things started improving A LOT(100 hair PER DAY).At first i was taking gynofen (i am in greece -different labels)  meaning ethinyl and cyprotecone acetate. 3 months later the hair was falling out a lot.so i added androcure(not me,my doc).things went on the same. But proscar helped a lot. Also i have to mention that although i had severe fall out, hair was growing back.So there was not real baldness.Only the fear of it.
I believe the regaine, retin A,proscar good nutrition but not too much carbs and your standar HRT can make miracles.Wish you luck.
