I've been on HRT for 2 years now & my body has made such pleasant changes along with plastic surgery. My body hair has greatly diminished which is great. However for my face, uggg. I've had laser work done in my early years & lots of electrolysis in the past 2 years however facail hairs continue to grow some, uggg. Will it ever completely stop from HRT alone?? Thanks for any real life experiences & good luck to all of us on becomming nicer looking women.

I do not know the answer to your question. I have heard those that have had laser then later went off hormones for surgeries later had a facial hair regrowth to a small degree.

I have had laser and about 50 hours of electrolysis. The two people doing the electrolysis both said electrolysis is 80% effective (thermolysis with galvanic) the 1st pass in killing the follicle. 20% of the hairs will grow back; although, thinner.

For GCS electrolysis is recommended, 3 passes over a year, due to regrowth.

Thanks & good luck to you. Mine is so much thinner, etc......obviously it would be nice if it just stopped growing however I guess not, oh me.

Most likely not unless you have had it permanently removed/reduced from electrolysis or laser.
I had some dark terminal hairs mostly under the chin, and then some on the sides and the upper lip.
I did not have alot, though it was easily noticeable since I am fair and dark haired.
I notice now that after maybe 20 sessions of laser it is definitely reduced though not completely bald (which is very rare for anyone.)
I have mostly just "peach fuzz" on my face now without shaving. I will still shave just for the total smoothness.
Though, hormone replacement therapy should allow you to not grow more facial hair if that is what you mean.
I don't think shaving the face or getting facial hair permanently removed is particularly commonplace with most genetic females. That is why I have a notion we probably end up with less than they do or just as much.

Nope. Started HRT at 17, SRS at 24, and the body hair disappeared a few years after surgery but I never had electrolysis until my 30s. The facial hair was finer but still there. After electrolysis a few scattered hairs still appear but I use an epilator every few months to get rid of them.

200 hours of electrolysis and still need clearing every couple of weeks, but less each time, maybe 50 hours more. Its those pesky terminal white hairs....Aaargh
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

You keep going to your electrolygist until your done. That is the only way you will ever clear your skin of hair. HRT is not really about hair removal. HRT may affect your hair texture and growth, but stopping hair growth is not a common result.
