Yes I know that all AFAB people have some testosterone in their system, I am asking when will mine be at the level it was before? I started on Androgel 12 days ago and within a week I was having extremely intense anxiety attacks. I had legitimate things that would cause anxiety so I ignored the physical symptoms (heart pounding, headache, chest ache, nausea). Well yesterday I had to go to the ER. I had extremely high blood pressure and based on how it felt I have had it since I started T. Obviously they told me to stop the T but I am wondering how long it will take for my levels to go back to where they were?

Also if you have just started T and you feel like ->-bleeped-<-, DON'T IGNORE IT, it is not normal, call your doctor. At least have someone check your BP.

This sounds like one where you might want to give the doctor who prescribed you the T a ring and just ask them.  These things depend on the way you take something, the particular type of something it is, as well as your particular body type and how it handles these things.  Your weight, BMI, etc can effect the processing, too.  Your doctor could probably give you a ballpark number.  Just tell them that the T gave you high blood pressure and that you're worried about it and want to know how long you can expect until your T levels are back to normal.  You are probably more likely to get an accurate guess from your own doctor who knows your medical specifics than from anyone on here. 

considering you said that you have anxiety, it's possible you were subconsciously worrying about it. i know before my first dosage of gel i was scared to death that i'd pass out or something obscene. after starting injections, i still worried. every time my heart would race i told myself it was the t causing me to have problems.

anxiety definitely can raise your bp.... i had a double ear infection and went to urgent care in april... i was extremely anxious, but also in some pain. it was 152/108 and i was only 19 at the time. it wasn't the t, but my anxiety.

i hope you and your endo have mapped out a new plan by now

From what my doctor told me, the half life of topical is about 48-72 hours, which means you'll be almost totally clear in 96 or so hours.

Wow, it's probably a good thing for you that gel has such a small dose. If you felt that bad, I can't imagine what an injection would've done. Mine lasts for three to four months. Hope you work this out with your doctor and find a better solution.
