Since I just moved back to Uruguay, I had to sign up for a new health plan (I don't really know what to call it, it doesn't work like health insurance). Part of the application process is a general medical examination.

So this morning I was at the clinic, in the waiting room with a bunch of other people that were waiting for one of several doctors for different reasons. About 30 minutes in, tired of being standing up, I sat next to a lady that had been waiting almost as much as me. It looked like she was getting impatient, because she asked me if I was also waiting for... the gynecologist!!!

I simply said "No, I'm waiting for Dr. Panonne".

To be honest with you, it's that hair style. The dreads made your features stand out and this one softens your face in a feminine way. My hair lays straight and though I have twice the hair the average person has, it lacks the volume your hair has. Your doing something right even if it was an accident  ;D

Well, I am convinced that, from the neck up, the biggest factor for passing is just hair (facial and hair proper), and this kind of proves my point. I only had some light make-up on, I hadn't made a huge effort in covering my beard shadow.

It's not entirely by accident, though. I don't try not to pass, I just don't do things for passing, I dress, do my hair, etc. in a way that feels good for me, for my own comfort and satisfaction, not for others or trying to look like a supermodel.

I know your photos aren't current, but your hair looks great in them!

My hair is very thin too, Dena. For me the secret to give it volume is blowdrying it from the bottom, "against the grain". You should see me with wet hair. I look like a fish that stood for an hour in the rain.

My hair isn't thin and it has double the number of hairs per square inch that the normal person has, it's just limp unless it has a perm in it. I wore a perm for over 30 years and I would like to do something with my hair were it's not to curly part of the time and not curly enough at other times. There is also the other little issue of it no longer being brown but I'm not  bothered by that.
