The 3 Types Of People You Meet As A Trans Person On OKCupid

"On one of the first days in January, I sat staring both optimistically and skeptically at a Chinese zodiac website that just one year before accurately predicted the complete destruction of every aspect of my life. This year, it said, would bring a whirlwind of positive change: This site is two for two now.

My 2015 kicked off with a pretty major milestone: I began medically transitioning into a female body. I'd spent all winter debating whether this was the right step for me, but once I finally started hormone replacement therapy, I immediately felt it was the best decision I'd made my entire life. Finally, with the appropriate amount of estrogen flowing through my bloodstream, everything started making sense. Everything except my dating life."

Great article. Left out a few types, but I've seen the ones that were included.

I've also seen:

4. The will-o-wisp: Guy contacts you, seems interesting. When you contact him back, he reads your profile more carefully and disappears like a will-o-wisp.

5. The slick: This guy acts like he's really interested in you, even to the point of taking you out, when all he really wants is to get into your pants. When he realizes it will take effort, he's gone. Cis girls probably see this one too, but I think we meet more than our fair share of guys who aren't serious about us.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Thank GOD I have no interest in relationships.  Neither emotional or sexual. So that kind of crap won't ever be a problem I have to deal with.  But if some POS like that ever address me with that kind of crap I'll call them everything in the book.

Someone in the comments also suggests "The Couple: a twosome looking for a flexible third wheel"... yeesh.

With the exception of the Savior, Ciswomen see all those types as well and even then i'm sure they see their own form of the Savior for anything else in their life

I date women, and have never really encountered any of these types except the above mentioned will o' the wisp. :) I think the author's experience is also overshadowed by being a person of color. Which is quite unfortunate. According to statistics, black women get the least amount of attention on Okc. :'( My friend turned me onto those statistics. She is black and has had a heckuva time meeting men who are worthwhile. And women? Hell no. She's had an awful time trying to meet women. To the point of only having a couple dates with them in the past five years. It's pretty sad that racism is still so prevalent.

I don't think the author mentioned the person who is very interested in you, finds out that you have the original factory equipment, and they're immediately done with you. I probably get this one the most from strict lesbians and bisexual women who are in a relationship with a cis male. I really hate being treated like a life support system for my junk.
