If you don't know about this band, do yourself a favor and listen to them! They're a queer/femme/trans punk band from Olympia, Washington. Their singer is a trans woman. Everybody in the band is queer in some way. The're the fiercest thing since Black Flag, and possibly the most important, too.
I saw them the other night in Philly. They played two shows: one was at a DIY punk venue, and the other was a midnight renegade show in a park! Both shows were amazing, and I never felt more empowered in my whole damn life!! The rules were similar to a Bikini Kill show: femmes, queers, and people of color TO THE FRONT!
The first show was inside a venue. A venue without a shred of pretense, at that. The place was jam-packed, and the show had an attendance limit. It was so hot in there (right up in front!) that I took off my shirt and rocked out in just my cute, new, sky-blue bra.

The second show was at a skatepark in the middle of the night. I ran into friends, and I made new ones too! After G.L.O.S.S. was done, I skated in the dark. But not before I showed the singer my board, with "TGRRRL" on the griptape! She loved it!
